When to use a foam roller

Foam rollers can be used as a solo warm up and/or cool down by itself, or as part of a more comprehensive warm and cool down process. Before exercising, using a foam roller can help increase blood flow and prepare the muscles for movement. After exercising, foam rolling can help reduce muscle soreness and improve recovery. As part of mobility work, foam rollers can be used to improve flexibility, range of motion, and posture.

How to work tissue

Eleiko Foam Rollers can be used in many ways to improve performance. Rolling can stimulate circulation, using the ribs to drag the tissue back and forth breaks up adhesion and helps lubricate the tissues and finally, applying firm pressure can work to release or decrease trigger point sensitivity to further enhance recovery.

Additional Uses

The center hole opening on the foam roller is sized to slip onto a barbell sleeve so it can be used for Bulgarian split squats.
